1. Do I need to read music

    Many experienced Barbershoppers do not read music at all. But If you would like to learn we are able to set you on the road to learning how to read music

2. How do we learn new songs

All songs are supported by teach materials - music and cds. For those who do not read music, listening to cds and in small group rehearsals are the main ways.

3. What is a Sing Harmony Course

  A Value for Money, Fun Event where all, irrespective of age and ability can explore their interest in Close Harmony Singing  with the guidance and help of experienced performers and teachers

4. What can I learn and be able to do better from a Harmony Course

  Whether you are a novice or experienced singer you will be able to explore and improve your vocal capabilities through carefully constructed exercises delivered by very experienced coaches.

5. What do I need to be able to do before I join the course

  Just be able to have fun and want to meet some new exciting and very friendly folk. You will be sent music and recordings of the songs with your Welcome Pack for you to practice

Make sure you know if you have a Tenor, Lead, Baritone or Bass voice so that you know which parts to learn. You can either arrange to visit our Chorus rehearsals on a Monday Evening for Ladies or Tuesdays for Gentlemen. Please see Contacts Page to get more information.

6. Do I have to be able to sing already

You do not have to have to have any special vocal qualities other than be able to sing in tune. All techniques for close harmony singing will be taught on the course

7. I have been singing in a Church Choir for several years. Will this stop me Close Harmony Singing

Certainly not, but techniques are different and   performance of the song is paramount, but all this will be introduced and taught on the course

8. What will I achieve on the course

    New friends, revitalised skills in your singing abilities and information about where you can come and continue your new found interest in Close Harmony singing
