Who are we?

Our Chorus

Hallmark of Harmony is the chorus of the Sheffield Barbershop Harmony Club, a member of the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS). Formed in 1978, Hallmark has won the National Championships of BABS six times and has gone on to compete at the SPEBSQSA International convention on three occasions.

We are a group of about 40 men, volunteering from all walks of life with varying degrees of musical talent and experience, who gather weekly to sing 4 part harmony. We also appear on shows with a full, varied exciting programme of music, song and dance. If you are interested in singing with us please click here for details of where and when we meet. If you want to book us for a show please contact the Public Relations Officer, Bill Ward (tel: 0114 2696979) or e-mail the secretary for further details

Our Supporters

Like most clubs, Sheffield Barbershop Harmony Club depends on the continuing support of our wives or partners. A particular debt of gratitude is due to our 'Catering Staff' - an elite group of wives who consistently provide refreshments at our rehearsals and often more substantial sustenance at pre-convention weekend retreats. This same group of ladies also perform many fundraising activities for the club including running the weekly 50-50 raffle in aid of club funds.

Our Fan Club

"Hallmark of Harmony" has a Fan Club whose members like to support our club activities and be kept informed of Hallmark's Sing-outs and events. For a small donation, Fan Club members are informed of club activities via the Public Relations Officer and also receive copies of "Hallmark Herald", the newsletter of Sheffield Barbershop Harmony Club. Membership of the Fan Club is open to anyone wishing to support Sheffield BHC and details can be obtained from the club Public Relations Officer, Bill Ward
